Galesburg Cottage Hospital CEO to retire in May: 3 notes

Galesburg (Ill.) Cottage Hospital CEO Barry Schneider announced his plans to retire, effective May 2, according to a report by The Register-Mail.

Here are three notes:

1. Mr. Schneider has previously served as CEO at hospitals in Chicago, St. Louis and Arizona, before coming to Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

2. He earned a master’s degree in strategic management from DePaul University in Chicago.

3. Jim Flynn, currently COO of Galesburg Cottage Hospital, will take over as CEO in May.
