Former Bayfront Health CNO joins Frye Regional Medical Center

Cheryl Jacobs, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer for Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C. She assumed the role on Sept. 27.

Dr. Jacobs comes to Frye Regional from Bayfront Health Spring Hill (Fla.), where she served as the chief nursing officer. 

Over the course of her 25-year career, she has served as director of neurosciences, director of adult critical care services, director of intensive care services and assistant chief nursing officer at several Florida hospitals, an Oct. 20 news release said.

She will lead a team of 400 nurses at Frye Regional, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare.
