Former Banner physician executive joins HCA Texas hospital as chief medical officer

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe (Texas) has named Renee Hebbeler-Clark, MD, chief medical officer, according to a July 29 news release shared with Becker’s

Dr. Hebbeler-Clark most recently worked at Phoenix-based Banner Health, where she served as associate CMO of Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, according to Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. At Banner, she “led critical care operations and helped drive improvements in quality and safety, including reductions in hospital-acquired infections and mortality,” HCA said. 

She also worked at UC Health in Cincinnati as a critical care and infectious diseases physician, associate CMO and chief safety officer. 

At HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, Dr. Hebbeler-Clark will bring more than 15 years of clinical experience and “expertise in High Reliability Organization principles, performance improvement and physician leadership,” the release said.
