COO Brett Aldridge has been appointed as his successor, effective July 1, according to a Nov. 2 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Faulkner has spent 34 years with Baptist Health Care, including the past 14 years as president and CEO.

Mr. Aldridge joined Baptist in 2010 through the Andrews Institute Research Foundation before moving into system leadership roles in strategy and operations. He became executive vice president and COO in 2023.

During his tenure, Mr. Aldridge helped lead the health system’s COVID-19 response and relocation to the new Baptist Hospital campus. He will become the organization’s fifth CEO in its 75-year history.

The transition follows a multiyear succession planning process. Mr. Faulkner and Mr. Aldridge will work together through June 30 to complete the leadership transition.
