Mr. Meese most recently was CEO of Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Fla., and before then he held COO positions at hospitals in Gadsden, Ala. and Mooresville, N.C.
He succeeds Richard McConahy, who served as interim CEO since Jan. 1.
