Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital promotes Dr. Thomas McGahan to CMO

Atlanta-based Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital selected Thomas P. McGahan, MD, to serve as CMO.

Dr. McGahan previously served as chairman of the hospital’s department of medicine. A gastroenterologist, he has provided care as a member of Emory Saint Joseph’s medical staff since joining Metro Atlanta Gastroenterology in 1994.

Dr. McGahan serves on the Emory Healthcare and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital boards as well as Emory Healthcare’s marketing executive advisory committee. In 2014, he received Emory Saint Joseph’s highest honor for physician service with the Burson Award.

Dr. McGahan completed a fellowship in digestive diseases at the University of Cincinnati.
