Emory Healthcare names new chief digital information officer

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare has named Laura Fultz as its permanent chief digital information officer, effective immediately, after serving in the role on an interim basis since April.

Ms. Fultz, a longtime Emory leader, is responsible for overseeing the health system’s digital and information technology experience for internal and external users, including patients and visitors, according to a Dec. 18 news release.

Her portfolio includes leading major application and user experience teams, overseeing the Epic EHR platform and other enterprise systems, and implementing strategic IT initiatives.

She joined Emory in 2007 as an application solution analyst and has since held multiple leadership roles, including manager, corporate director, associate CIO and vice president of applications and digital experience.
