East Alabama Medical Center selects new CMO

Opelika-based East Alabama Medical Center appointed William Golden, MD, CMO, according to an OA Now report.

Dr. Golden provides care at Auburn, Ala.-based Lee Obstetrics and Gynecology. He will now split his time between the practice and East Alabama Medical Center. In June, Dr. Golden will no longer practice obstetrics, but will continue to see gynecology patients on a limited basis. He earned his medical degree at University of Alabama School of Medicine at UAB in Birmingham.

Opened in the 1950s as Lee County Hospital, the facility changed its name to East Alabama Medical Center in 1981.
