Mr. Gannotta has served as the hospital’s COO since 2006. Additionally, Mr. Gannotta teaches at the Duke University School of Nursing. Before joining Duke, he held many leadership positions over 12 years at WakeMed Raleigh (N.C.), including senior vice president and administrator.
Mr. Gannotta is replacing Doug Vinsel, who announced his retirement in August.
