Dr. Malcolm Roth of Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center Named President-Elect of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons named Malcolm Z. Roth, MD, the director of the division of plastic surgery at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center, president-elect at Plastic Surgery 2010, the society’s annual scientific assembly, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report.

As ASPS president-elect, Dr. Roth will focus on patient safety and education regarding plastic surgery choices.

Dr. Roth has served as an ASPS member surgeon since 1991, and has also sat on several ASPS committees. He served as chairman of the government affairs committee and vice president of health policy and advocacy, and has held positions as president of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons and president of the New York County Medical Society.
