Dr. James Merlino leaves Cleveland Clinic exec position for Press Ganey

Cleveland Clinic’s chief experience officer, James Merlino, MD, has left his post to serve as president and CMO of Press Ganey Associates’ strategic consulting division.

Dr. Merlino is a practicing surgeon and the founder and current president of the Association for Patient Experience. In addition to serving as chief experience officer, Dr. Merlino also served as associate chief of staff at Cleveland Clinic. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to Press Ganey.
