Down East Community Hospital CEO Doug Jones Resigns

Doug Jones, CEO of Down East Community Hospital in Machias, Maine, has stepped down from his position, according to a Bangor Daily News report.

Mr. Jones was named interim CEO of the hospital in 2009 when the hospital was placed into receivership by the state. Once the receivership ended, Mr. Jones signed on to being permanent CEO.

Before joining DECH, Mr. Jones was CEO of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth.
