Doctors Hospital of Manteca gains new CEO: 3 things to know

Ikenna “Ike” Mmeje has been named CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.), according to a Manteca Bulletin report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Mmeje.

1. Mr. Mmeje is expected to be in his office by the last week of September.

2. He is succeeding Nicholas Tejeda, who was named CEO of Sierra Providence East Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

3. He comes from Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., where he has served as COO. In that role, he oversaw the hospital’s daily operations and ancillary operations such as pathology, radiology, pharmacy and plant operations, according to the report.
