DeKalb Medical Center in Georgia Names CEO

Former DeKalb Medical Center Executive Vice President and COO John Shelton will rejoin the system next month as its president and CEO, according to a health system release.

Mr. Shelton left the system last winter to accept a position at Mobile (Ala.) Infirmary, the state’s largest not-for-profit hospital. He succeeds former DeKalb Medical CEO Eric Norwood, who resigned last month. Mr. Shelton is expected to return to DeKalb Medical in November.
