The non-binding resolution stated hospital CEO Steve Rowley participated in the endeavor to influence the election. The commissioners called the political literature a misuse of public funds.
While county commissioners cannot force hospital officials to resign, they can issue a no confidence vote. According to the report, the hospital would not benefit from having to deal with continuing controversy.
