Ms. Sullivan brings nearly 25 years of healthcare leadership and clinical experience to the role, according to an Oct. 7 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

She has served as president and COO of Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I., part of Care New England Health System, since 2020. She will remain with the organization through 2025 to assist with transition planning, according to an Oct. 7 Care New England news release shared with Becker’s.

During her tenure at Women & Infants, the hospital achieved 81% market share of obstetric deliveries in the state and completed a $35 million philanthropic campaign to build a 20-bed, 18,000-square-foot labor and delivery center.

Ms. Sullivan will succeed James Shmerling, DHA, who announced plans to retire at the end of 2025 in March.
