Dr. Mahaffey joins the hospital — part of Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health — from Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone, N.C., where she was the chief physician executive and played a key role in its COVID-19 response, according to a Dec. 20 news release.
As CMO at Alamance Regional, she will lead medical staff, and direct quality and safety improvements.
