CommonSpirit taps 2 CEOs for Colorado hospitals

Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health has tapped two CEOs for two of its Colorado Springs, Colo., hospitals.

Kristi Olson will serve as CEO of Penrose Hospital, effective June 16, and Gina Temple, PhD, RN, will serve as CEO of St. Francis Hospital, effective June 30, according to a June 12 news release.

Ms. Olson has served as interim CEO of Penrose Hospital since October. 

Prior to that, Ms. Olson served as market COO for Penrose and St. Francis Hospital. She has also served as CEO of St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colo. 

Prior to her new role, Dr. Temple served as CEO of HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Tampa, Fla. She also served as CEO of Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, part of San Antonio-based Baptist Health System.
