Mr. Talbert is leaving his COO position at Tenet Healthcare-owned Hilton Head (S.C.) Hospital. He has prior CEO experience at Kindred Hospital in Charleston, S.C., and Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He replaces Bill Masterton, who left the hospital in June to become CEO of the Tenet-owned Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
