Cleveland Clinic hospital taps chief medical officer

Thomas Rogers, MD, was named vice president and chief medical officer of Cleveland Clinic Medina (Ohio) Hospital, effective July 1.

He replaces Richard Shewbridge, MD, who stepped down after eight years in the role, according to a June 3 system news release. Dr. Shewbridge will be working part-time at his endocrinology practice at the hospital.

Dr. Rogers first joined Cleveland Clinic in 2022, where he served as vice president and CMO at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. Before that, he served as director of the DiLorenzo Pentagon Health Clinic and the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Branch Clinics in Washington, D.C.
