Rishi Singh, MD, vice president and chief medical officer of Cleveland Clinic Martin North and South Hospitals in Stuart, Fla., has accepted a new role as chair of ophthalmology at Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham.
Dr. Singh has worked with Cleveland Clinic for more than 20 years, overseeing efforts to improve the care experience for patients and clinical satisfaction. During his tenure at Cleveland Clinic, the emergency departments at Martin Health hospitals surpassed the 80th percentile for patient experience scores, according to an Aug. 5 news release from the health system. He also led efforts to double the hospitals’ clinician workforce.
His new role at Mass General Brigham is effective Oct. 1.
Chirag Choudhary, MD, will step in as interim vice president and CMO of Cleveland Clinic Martin North and South Hospitals. He will also maintain his current role as CMO of Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
