City of Hope cancer center taps chief clinical officer

The City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta named radiation oncologist Kristin Higgins, MD, chief clinical officer.

Dr. Higgins will oversee the clinical care decisions and cancer care innovations at the center as well as serve patients as a radiation oncologist specializing in lung cancers, according to a Jan. 23 system press release.

Previously, she was the medical director of radiation oncology and leader of the Winship Cancer Institute lung program at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta.
