CHRISTUS Santa Rosa CEO to Retire in 2010

Don Beeler, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care in San Antonio, Texas, will retire on Jan. 29, 2010, according to a report in the San Antonio Business Journal.

Mr. Beeler has worked for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa for 38 years and became CEO in 2003, according to the report. During his time as CEO, he grew the healthcare system from two hospitals and three facilities to a network of four hospitals and numerous outpatient surgery centers.

No replacement has been named, but Mr. Beeler will work with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa senior vice president and COO Ernie Sadau and the board to implement a transition plan and to begin the search fro a replacement, according to the report.
