Christ Hospital CEO Mike Keating to depart for private equity firm

Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network President and CEO Mike Keating is departing later this year, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Mr. Keating plans join a New York-based healthcare private equity firm. He has served as Christ Hospital CEO for five-plus years, assuming the role in 2013 after serving as interim leader. Prior to that, he was on the hospital’s board for 21 years.

During his tenure as CEO, the health network expanded into Montgomery, Ohio, and Liberty Township, Ohio. Additionally, the Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Cincinnati grew from a two-year associate program to a four-year degree program.

Mr. Keating was previously co-founder and managing partner of Keating Vollmer & Co., a private investment firm.

The Christ Hospital Health Network’s board has established a search committee to find Mr. Keating’s successor. Mr. Keating will stay on as a board member to assist in the transition, according to the report.
