Children’s Mercy Kansas City has created a new executive role amid the retirements of two leaders.
Dave Henriksen will serve as the health system’s inaugural executive vice president and chief transformation officer, effective July 1, according to a June 10 news release. In the new role, he will lead operational modernization efforts, enhance patient experience and leverage data and technology to boost innovation.
Mr. Henriksen joins Children’s Mercy from Notable Health, where he oversaw value-based care initiatives.
Two executives — Tom Wright, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, and Robin Foster, executive vice president and general counsel — are retiring, the health system said.
Mr. Foster’s retirement is effective July 1. He will be succeeded by MaLiz Denk, who currently serves as vice president, chief risk officer and deputy general counsel.
Mr. Wright will remain with the organization after July 1 to assist with his leadership transition. Michelle Wimes, senior vice president and chief equity and inclusion officer, will serve as interim chief people officer.
The leadership changes come four months after four leaders were promoted to C-suite roles following the Jan. 2 appointment of Alejandro Quiroga, MD, as president and CEO.
