Mr. Covert currently serves as president and CEO of San Diego-based Palomar Health. His previous positions include president of Washington Hospital Center in D.C., president and CEO of Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Health System, senior vice president of Wichita, Kan.-based Physician Corp. of America, executive director of Columbus-based Ohio State University Hospitals and executive vice president and CEO of St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.
He is taking over duties for Deborah Lee-Eddie, who has held these positions in an interim capacity since January 2014.
