CEO Ray Jankowski of Community Hospital of Long Beach, Calif., Resigns

Ray Jankowski, president and CEO of 250-bed Community Hospital of Long Beach, is resigning to take a job at CalOptima, a county-organized health system, according to a report by the Press-Telegram.

Mr. Jankowski worked at Community Hospital since 1995, first as CFO and then as CEO since 2003.

Under his leadership, the hospital expanded clinical offerings, enhanced its contracts and increased the patient census and numbers of employees.
