Mr. Dirksen started at Jefferson as an administrator in 1977, when the public hospital was a Catholic institution called St. John’s Hospital, according to the report. He also currently serves as the chairman of the Washington State Hospital Association Rural Strategies Planning Committee.
The hospital will soon begin a formal search for a successor.
