Ms. London, who was on sabbatical from her post, resigned permanently earlier this week, according to the report.
Ms. London oversaw the merger of Baptist and St. Mary’s Health Systems to form Mercy Health in 2008 and had served as CEO of St. Mary’s since 2001.
Mercy’s COO and acting CEO A. David Jimenez will serve as interim CEO.
