CEO Jeff Ashin of Physicians Regional in Tennessee Resigns

Jeff Ashin, CEO of Tennova Healthcare’s Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn., has announced his resignation to take a position with Vanguard Health Systems in Phoenix, Ariz., according to a Knoxville Business report.

Mr. Ashin previously served as CEO of the Mercy Health Partners system. He was named CEO of Physicians Regional in October 2011 when Florida-based Health Management Associates acquired Mercy Health Partners.

A search for Mr. Ashin’s replacement has already begun, according to the report.
