Donald J. Bivacca has been named executive vice president and president of hospital operations support for Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare, according to a news release.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Bivacca.
1. He will fill a new position, which was created as a result of the significant growth Capella is experiencing and the anticipated addition of numerous other healthcare organizations this year, the health system said.
2. Mr. Bivacca has more than 25 years of healthcare experience.
3. He began his career with Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America serving in a variety of hospital-based financial leadership roles, culminating in the role of division CFO.
4. After that, he partnered in launching a private company, ARx–The Accounts Receivable Solution, which provides full-service, individualized, billing and accounts receivable solutions for hospital outreach labs, pathology groups and independent labs across the U.S.
5. Mr. Bivacca then joined Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, where he worked for 11 years, serving most recently as Western Group president, with responsibility for 24 hospitals.
