Michael Lieb, the new temporary CEO of 37-bed hospital, has been vice president of corporate operations at Community Hospital Corp. in Plano, Texas. He replaces Neil Todhunter, who was interim CEO since Aug. 2009.
Palm Drive filed for bankruptcy protection in 2007, fired CEO James Russell last August and then hired Brim Healthcare Unit of Brentwood, Tenn., to manage the hospital under a three-year contract.
On March 19, Brim named Richard Robinson as permanent CEO but withdrew the appointment on April 22 without an explanation. Also in April, the hospital announced plans to sell $10 million in bonds.
