California hospital names new CEO

Redlands (Calif.) Community Hospital has appointed Adam Thunell as CEO.

Mr. Thunell most recently served as senior vice president and COO for Community Memorial Healthcare in Ventura, Calif., according to a Jan. 12 LinkedIn post from Redlands Community Hospital. He stepped into that role in 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile.

While there, he led hospital and ambulatory operations, oversaw long-term strategic planning and helped modernize facilities systemwide. His work also included managing the construction of a new acute-care hospital in Ventura and upgrades to care sites in Ojai. 

Before joining Community Memorial, Mr. Thunell held leadership roles at Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Cottage Health and Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services.
