Baystate Health taps new CIO, digital officer

Baystate Health has appointed Clara Guixa as CIO and digital officer, effective June 2, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

Ms. Guixa joins Baystate Health from Boston Children’s Hospital where she served as vice president of applications and deputy CIO. 

She brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare IT and technology management to her new role at Baystate Health.

“We are excited to have Clara joining as a member of the Baystate Health team,” said Dean Sanpei, chief administrative officer and chief strategy officer. “Clara’s transformational leadership in operational excellence and optimizing IT solutions to enhance patient care will serve as an asset to Baystate as we work to build a clinically driven, physician-led health system serving our neighbors and communities.”
