Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health has named Seth Gemme, MD, chief physician executive.
Dr. Gemme will also serve as president of Baystate Medical Practices, a multispecialty group of more than 950 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, according to an Aug. 7 news release from Baystate Health.
He joined Baystate Health in 2017 and most recently served as chair of the department of emergency medicine for both Baystate Health and UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate in Springfield, Mass.
He previously served as system vice chair of clinical operations for emergency medicine and chief of the emergency department at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Mass., and associate chief and education director of the emergency department at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, Mass.
