Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare named Brendan Malik, MD, its vice president of physician enterprise development and chief medical officer.
In the newly established physician enterprise development role, Dr. Malik will provide leadership and strategic alignment for physician development and integration, service line development, and medical direction for the system’s urgent care, according to a Sept. 17 system news release. He will also support ambulatory growth and expansion.
Dr. Malik joined BayCare Medical Group in 2015 as a hospitalist, and, since 2023, has served as CMO of St. Joseph’s Hospital-South in Riverview, Fla. He will continue in that role until his replacement is found.
