BayCare hospital taps new operations leader

Kofi Cash, DSc, has joined Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health as director of operations at Bartow (Fla.) Regional Medical Center, according to a March 3 LinkedIn post.

The role is equivalent to chief operating officer, according to the post.

In his new position, Dr. Cash said he will focus on elevating operational performance, advancing disciplined strategic growth and overseeing a $110 million capital construction portfolio.

He previously served as executive director of operations at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass., part of Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham.

Bartow Regional Medical Center is a 72-bed hospital and part of BayCare Health, a nonprofit academic health system that operates 16 hospitals across West Central Florida and employs nearly 33,000 team members.
