Meridian, Miss.-based Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center named Hatem Mourad, MD, chief medical officer.
He replaces Keith Everett, MD, who retired Feb. 28, according to a March 11 hospital news release from Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Healthcare, which operates the hospital. Dr. Everett had served as CMO since 2019.
Dr. Mourad has worked as a hospitalist at the hospital since 2009. He has held a number of leadership positions, including chief medical officer and vice president of business development at Keystone Healthcare Partners from 2023 to 2026, and director of hospital medicine and vice president of business development from 2016 to 2023.
Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center merged with Baptist Memorial Health Care in January 2024.
