Former Baptist Health Floyd chief medical officer joins UofL Health

Emily Volk, MD, was named vice president of system pathology and laboratory services at UofL Health in Louisville, Ky.

Dr. Volk stepped into the newly created role March 16, previously serving as chief medical officer of Baptist Health Floyd in Albany, Ind. She is tasked with overseeing UofL Health’s pathology and laboratory services and identifying opportunities for systemwide alignment. 

Dr. Volk is also president of the College of American Pathologists and a faculty member at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
