Molly Luton has been appointed chief strategic communications officer at Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health.
In her new role, Ms. Luton will oversee media relations, communications strategy and public policy messaging, according to a June 10 LinkedIn post from the health system.
Ms. Luton brings nearly two decades of healthcare communications experience. She has served as Ballad Health’s chief marketing and communications officer since 2022, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She joined Ballad Health in 2018 after serving as corporate director of marketing at Johnson City-based Mountain States Health Alliance.
Ballad Health operates 21 hospitals.
