Assumption Community Hospital names Christy Hockaday CEO: 3 things to know

Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville, La., appointed Christy Hockaday CEO, effective Jan. 21, 2017. She succeeds Wayne Arboneaux, who has retired.

Here are three things to know:

1. Most recently, Ms. Hockaday served as administrator of shared services for Baton Rouge, La.-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. She will continue to serve in this role in addition to her new chief executive position.

2. Previously, she has served as administrator and COO for Heart Hospital of Lafayette (La.) and CEO for CHI St. Vincent Morrilton in Morrilton, Ark.

3. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and in 2005, she was honored with the ACHE Early Career Healthcare Arkansas Executive Award for outstanding hospital and community leadership.
