Association of Academic Health Centers Names New Chair, Chair-Elect and Board Members

Philip A. Pizzo, MD, dean of the school of medicine at Stanford University, has been named chair of the board of the Association of Academic Health Centers, according to a release from the association.

Larry J. Shapiro, MD, president of Washington University Medical Center, was elected chair-elect of the AAHC Board.

Newly elected board members are:

Victor J. Dzau, MD, president and CEO of Duke University health System,

Raymond S. Greenburg, MD, PhD, president of the Medical University of South Carolina,

Harold M. Maurer, MD, chancellor of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and

Harold L. Paz, MD, chief executive officer of the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
