St. Louis-based Ascension has named three executives to strategy and service line roles at Ascension St. Vincent’s in Northeast Florida.
The appointments come as Ascension St. Vincent’s aligns clinical strategy, capital planning and growth efforts across its four hospitals, according to a health system news release. Systemwide, Ascension has been reinvesting in its existing markets after narrowing its operating loss to $120 million in fiscal 2026.
The new leaders are:
Jackie Champeau, vice president of strategy. Ms. Champeau will lead strategic planning and growth across Ascension St. Vincent’s, including service expansion and capital investment. She most recently served as executive director of strategy and growth for Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth’s East Florida Division and has held leadership roles at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando.
Mary Zielinski, vice president of neurosciences. Ms. Zielinski will lead neurosciences strategy, with a focus on expanding neurological and neurosurgical services. She most recently served as executive director of service line and consumer strategy for AdventHealth’s East Florida Division, where she oversaw neurosciences and other service lines across eight hospital campuses, the release said.
Katie Miller, vice president of the women’s clinical service line. Ms. Miller will lead strategy for women’s services. She has been with Ascension for more than a decade and most recently served as regional strategy director for Ascension St. Vincent’s, where she led business cases and capital planning for women’s health projects, including labor and delivery and neonatal intensive care expansions, according to the release.
Ascension St. Vincent’s includes hospitals in Riverside, Southside, Clay County and St. Johns County.
