Mr. Vander Kolk most recently served as Saint Agnes Healthcare’s president and CEO, a role he assumed in 2015. As CEO of its Baltimore/Washington Ministry Market, he will oversee all of Ascension’s care sites in Baltimore and the District of Columbia.

Ascension has also restructured the leadership teams of Saint Agnes and Providence. Chris A. Chekouras will become president and COO of Saint Agnes, overseeing day-to-day operations. He previously served as Saint Agnes’ COO.

Eugenia Powell, PhD, RN, will become administrator and vice president of patient care services at Providence. She formerly served as chief quality officer and assistant vice president of education, quality and professional development for both Providence and Saint Agnes.

“Saint Agnes and Providence already have been working closely together and sharing resources where appropriate, and that work will continue as the ministries come together as an integrated market,” Mr. Vander Kolk said in a statement.
