Washington Regional Medical System, a community-owned, nonprofit health system based in Fayetteville, Ark., has promoted three leaders to executive roles.
Here are four things to know, per a May 1 news release:
1. Cindy Jo Allen, BSN, RN, was promoted from vice president and assistant COO to senior vice president and COO. She has more than 18 years of healthcare experience. 4. In her new role, Ms. Allen will oversee day-to-day operations across the system.
2. Rebecca Cowie, RN, APRN, was promoted from assistant chief nursing officer to chief nursing officer. She joined Washington Regional in 2012 and has held roles including director of critical care, neuro progressive and neurosurgical ICU.
3. Tom Olmstead was promoted from senior vice president and general counsel to executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel. He has served as general counsel for the system since 2000. Mr. Olmstead’s expanded role includes oversight of legal services, human resources, risk management and governance.
4. Washington Regional includes a 425-bed medical center, two multispecialty surgical centers, five centers of excellence and 40 clinic locations across Northwest and North Arkansas.
