Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network named Allan Klapper, MD, president of AHN Grove City (Pa.) Hospital.
Dr. Klapper will continue serving as president of AHN Wexford (Pa.) Hospital while leading AHN Grove City Hospital, according to a July 9 health system news release.
He succeeds Christopher Clark, DO, who will remain president of AHN Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pa., and AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, N.Y.
A practicing obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Klapper joined AHN in 2011 and served as chair of the AHN Women’s Institute before being named president of AHN Wexford Hospital in 2018. He led the opening of the hospital in 2021.
AHN said the leadership change will align its Wexford and Grove City hospitals under a unified management structure while the hospitals remain separate entities. AHN Grove City Hospital is a 65-bed acute care facility that became part of the health system in January 2020.
