Akron Children’s Hospital appoints Shelly Brown VP of development

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital tapped Shelly Brown to serve as vice president of development, according to a May 7 announcement.

1. Ms. Brown most recently served as the hospital’s senior director of principal giving.

2. She came to Akron Children’s Hospital in 2008, initially serving as a major gifts officer.

3. She succeeds John LaGuardia, who retired earlier this year.
