4 Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Leaders Resign

Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center announced that four of its leaders have resigned, according to a Wyoming Tribune Eagle report.

Paul Panico, COO of the medical center, has resigned. Margo Karsten, who has previously worked at Poudre Valley Health System in Fort Collins, Colo., and with Exempla Health Care in Denver, will fill the role on an interim basis. Mr. Panico will take up the post of coach with the Studer Organization, a consulting group.

Carlene Crall, chief human resources officer of the medical center, has resigned and Sylvia Hackl will serve as interim director of human resources. Ms. Hackl serves as assistant to the hospital’s legal counsel.

Robert Thorn, chief strategy officer of the medical center has resigned, and his replacement has not yet been named.

Rich D’Ambrosio, the hospital’s legal counsel, has also resigned, and his replacement has not yet been named, according to the report.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center also recently announced that CEO John Lucas, MD, will retire Sept. 1.
