After serving Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed since 1996, Seth Brody, MD, became chief medical growth officer for Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health in August.
Dr. Brody announced the new role in a LinkedIn post. According to his profile, he joined WakeMed in 1996 as a physician. He has since served in several leadership roles, including medical director of obstetrics, chief medical officer of WakeMed Cary (N.C.) Hospital and, most recently, chief physician executive.
For the last 30 years, he has been a clinical professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, according to his LinkedIn profile.
WakeMed operates three acute care hospitals, a physical rehabilitation hospital and a mental health hospital, as well as four healthplexes with standalone emergency departments and outpatient services. UNC Health operates 20 hospitals and hundreds of clinics.
