1. Terry Burns has resigned as president and CEO of Ukiah (Calif.) Valley Medical Center to join his former employer, Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network, as president of Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio, and Soin Medical Center in Fairborn, Ohio.

2. The McPherson (Kan.) Hospital Board of Trustees announced Rob Monical has been named president of the hospital, effective July 11.

3. Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Froedtert Health has appointed Catherine Jacobson to president of Froedtert Health and Cathy Buck to president of Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, effective July 1.

4. St. Charles Health System has announced that in addition to serving as CEO of Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville, Ore., Bob Gomes will also serve as acting CEO of St. Charles Redmond (Ore.).

5. Denny Litos, CEO of Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, Calif., will be retiring from his position, effective July 5.

6. The board of directors of the Care New England Health System, based in Providence, R.I., has named Dennis D. Keefe president and CEO, effective Aug. 1.

7. Paul Kramer, president of Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, Ill., will be retiring, and Mike Higgins, network development specialist and electronic medical records trainer at Children’s Hospital, will serve as interim president.

8. Jack Connors, who has served as chairman of Partners Healthcare System in Boston for the past 15 years, will be stepping down next summer.

9. Vicki Parks has been named CFO of Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky.

10. Theresa Brennan, MD, has been named CMO of UI Health Care in Iowa City, effective July 1.

11. Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton, Mo., has chosen Allen AufderHeide to serve as CEO after serving as the hospital’s interim CEO.

12. St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., has appointed John Walsh as COO and Tiffany Berry as CFO.

13. The Houston Healthcare System Board of Trustees has announced Cary Martin as the new CEO for Houston Healthcare in Georgia after serving as the interim CEO since May 2010.

14. Chad Cooper, who has served as president and CEO of St. Mary’s Healthcare in Pierre, S.D., for the past five years, has announced he will be stepping down from his role, effective July 29.

15. Saint Luke’s Health System, based in Kansas City, Mo., has appointed Melinda Estes, MD, to CEO of the health system, effective September.

16. Gavin Carmichael will leave his role as CEO of East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colo., to become CEO of Providence Physician Services Organization in Anchorage, Alaska, effective July 8.

17. Michael Murphy, MD, has joined the executive leadership team at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif., as CMO.
